Wouldn't call this one a battle of the goalies. Couple more major injuries as well. Malik gone for the season for the Sharks. Danny Heatley probably gone for the rest of the playoffs as well.

Losing Heatley would be a huge loss, but he's only at 98 CD right now and should be good to go soon enough I'd think...

Should make both teams better in the sim.

Tough loss but good to see we no longer need to worry about Heatley. Malik is a bit of a loss for us as well but I think we have the depth to make up for that. Belfour is taking longer to get back up to 100% than I would've liked however. Osgood will probably have to start at least one more game.

Out of curiosity, is there an extra day off being simmed between our games or is the sim playing the games everyday? Just want to know if Belfour has a shot at playing next game or not basically.

A little adversity only makes a team stronger, can't go threw this much of a grind without facing some of it every round.... unless you're San Jose

Will have necessary backup plans for all our players if such a thing happened, within the dressing room this team is strong enough to overcome loosing both our two players for the series. We won without Heater in the 1st round and we were able to over come, the team played with LeClaire for the majority of the 3rd round and we overcome.

It'll just make the whine from the other GM's much more sweeter

Sharks have had just as many injuries and rough times as the Canes, only difference is when a Shark player in the 80's falls to injury we've got enough equally talented players to fill in!

Belfour's missed games in three series now due to injury and he's been the best goalie in the playoffs so far, Malik, Afinogenov, Sturm all have been or are injured.

I certainly don't think I've got this all wrapped up just because Heatley's gone but it can't hurt. Should be a good series.

Only in San Jose would Belfour's loss of action be regarded as an injury, the rest of the world refers to it a hangover

OK well one GM had problems with lines. I have to go to bed in an hour so games are postponed to tomorrow so I can sim with lines from both clubs.
