A few years ago, I did a Myers-Briggs personality test which really impressed me. I read the description of my pesonality type and felt it was pretty much bang on. I thought it'd be quite fun for folks to post their Type or, if they've never done it before, to also do the test.
So, here's a version of the test (it's free and it'll take you all of 10 minutes).
I don't think the descriptions they give on that site are as good as other sites. Once you have your result, look up the description of your type here:
http://www.pitt.edu/~bav11/intro.html (the long line of four-letter links)
To kick things off, I'm an INFP, which means I'm a very nice person indeed!!
Go for it!!
INFP: INFP’s have deeply-held principles and need to feel that they are helping others. INFP’s are warm and unselfish individuals who value deep, genuine relationships. They are usually able to get along with other types quite well since they can understand others’ feelings and motives. Since they feel so strongly about maintaining harmony, they may not be able to accept people with strong thinking and/or judging characteristics.

Im a ENTJ
Hardly more than two percent of the total population, the Fieldmarshals are bound to lead others, and from an early age they can be observed taking command of groups.
ENTJs are decisive. They see what needs to be done, and frequently assign roles to their fellows. Few other types can equal their ability to remain resolute in conflict, sending the valiant (and often leading the charge) into the mouth of hell. When challenged, the ENTJ may by reflex become argumentative. Alternatively (s)he may unleash an icy gaze that serves notice: the ENTJ is not one to be trifled with.
Id say that is pretty much bang on....even the career path is on the nose.

Hmm...
Apparently I'm an ENFJ.
Although I'm not entirely convinced by the description....

Read some of the other descriptions -- depending on how strongly you come out on a particular aspect, you might actually be the opposite (eg, if you were only slighty Extroverted (the 'E' in ENFJ), on another day you might come out as 'I' so look at the 'INFJ' description).

ENFJ’s have excellent people skills, as well as a great deal of creativity. Ideally, they should choose a career that allows a lot of imagination and human interaction.

funny because I've planned many events for school/university etc, as well my part time job is Sales Rep, and my feild in school is political science, so I guess that it's accurate

I see. I read some of the other ones and mainly the INFJ and it seems like maybe I'm in the middle between the INFJ on some days and the ENFJ on others. Makes sense. Although I guess the first ENFJ is seemingly more correct to me at the moment.

I'm an INTJ.
About one per cent of the population.
The descriptions seem accurate, the pluses and the minuses.

I only mention this because it is perhaps the first test of its kind that I have ever taken that suggests I chose the right academic route.
Apparently I am a INTP - and on the list of careers that INTPs supposedly should excel at, I see economist. Makes me feel a whole lot better about that MA I struggled to get. :P
By the way, if you ever want to get psyched out, read some of Carl Jung's "Memories, Dreams, Reflections." That book really had an impact on me as a mere 25 year old - think I may have to go read it again.

Wow, that description is pretty bang on. I especially like this part..."INTJ’s don’t like spending time with those who they feel have nothing to offer them." That has been the cause of many burnt bridges for me over the years.

INTJ...It says only about 1% of the population are INTJs but I see three people, including myself have already listed it.
Either the test is bs, or INTJs are people who enjoy message boards (or perhaps taking personality tests)

They characteristically have an eye out for a better way, always on the lookout for new projects, new activities, new procedures. Inventors are confident in the value of their interests and display a charming capacity to ignore the standard, the traditional, and the authoritative. As a result of this innovative attitude, they often bring fresh, new approaches to their work and their lives.
In summary, always looking for a better or easier way of doing things (or in lamens, lazy). Yup, that would be me!!!

As a fellow INTJ, that might explain why I've been to only one family reunion in 20 years.

I'd say the reason is probably the latter. Whatever four letter code is used for 'lazy and disinterested' could be a larger part of the poplulation but would show a relatively smaller percentage a test like this beacause, well, they are lazy and disinterested. lol
EDIT: Very true Cow. I have very little contact any relatives outside my immediate family. Save the drama for your Mama.
