Default Good Move? Bad Decision?

Let's say you're a head coach and GM of a CHL junior team. Heck why not call you coach of the year? You have a year left on your contract and your team is hosting the annual draft in June.

Would it be a good idea to back out of your contract to become the head coach & general manager of another team within the same league?

A friend of mine once said, "If the Q were legit, it'd suck!" Things sure got interesting here in Sydney.

Can you imagine if Sutter simply left and went to Vancouver to be GM even though he was under contract by Calgary?

Geez. Sounds like nothing was done correctly right from the 1st step. What a can of worms this one is.

On the lighter side of things, if he wound up coaching both teams, do you think he could out coach himself?

Didn't Pat Quinn do some similar breach such is this in the early 90's with his move from LA to Vancouver?

Keenan did when he left the Rangers to go to St.Louis. Though he exercised some sort of loophole in his contract with the Rangers. I don't remember if anything came of it (compensation or penalties) but it seemed sketchy at the time.

I think that as a fan, at this point, I would not really want him back and the club should let it go and move on - and if they league is not bush, they will penalize Montreal.
