Speculation is Craig Ferguson (the Scottish guy from Drew Carey) is getting the gig. Bit of a strange choice in my opinion. I expected them to go with D.L. Hughley or Michael Ian Black (as mentioned in the link).
That being said though, I did catch Ferguson a couple times in his "trial nights" and he is pretty funny. Much different than Kilborn (who frankly seemed too full of himself most of the time).

I kinda liked Kilborn...pretty witty, and that swagger worked for him.
I could never watch too much of Ferguson...he just annoyed me.
Michael Ian Black and Damien Fehey sucked - they both tried too hard to be like Kilborn
Didn't see any of Hughley.
I'll be watching Conan instead now...

Kilborn was awful in my humble opinion.
I rarely watched but one time I did he had Mike Modano on (without his dog) and as soon as Modano sat down Kilborn pulled out a basketball and handed it to him and said something like "this is what we play with in a real sport". Good one.
Every chance he got he had to mention his sporting resumé which began and ended with his inclusion on the roster of the basketball team at the NBA Star Factory known as Montana State University. Go Craig Go!
If I'm ever lucky enough to host a television show (unlikely because I'm quite ugly and very mute) then I'll follow in his footsteps and mention the time I got a goal and 2 assists during Esso Minor Hockey Week in 1985.
Hiring him was a desperate move in the first place. They must have been thinking "well, he sorta looks like Conan". Didn't work.

I never did like his show and I won't be watching the new host either. I'll stick to Conan and Kimmel.

i didn't mind kilborn too much, but i have the luxury of watching both him and conan the same night due to time zone multiples. if i had to choose, guests is a factor but in general i like conan a lot better.
kilborn's 5 question thing is kinda unique, and he almost always has a hot girl on. but some of these tarts are dead air, and he's no jon stewart for host-improv.
considering he was coming from sportscasting and got his own show to replace that old guy, i think he did a lot better than the guy he was replacing.
it'll be interesting to see how _his_ replacement does, because that guy won't be competing with conan for long.

they wanted Adam Carolla, but he turned it down.
In my opinion, Adam Carolla is one of the funniest guys on the planet, and is a big reason why JKL is such a hit.
...but I am happy he did turn it down. It means he'll stay on Loveline for a bit longer.
Anyone other than me listen to Loveline?

What happened to Kilborn? Was he fired? Did he move on to something bigger and better?
I don't really care, cuz Conesy kicks his ass, but I've been wondering for a while now.
