Sutter must be sending a message to all of the QC Flames defencemen as there was only one defenceman called to Calgary and that is Negrin from the WHL. Seems odd they would not call any guys with pro experience.

With the addition of Negrin the Flames have 9 dman. Not sure if they need anymore...

and since these guys are VERY unlikely to play, isn't it more about having them around them team and getting accustomed to the nhl environment?
