What happened on Howard Stern this morning?

I know there a few listeners on CP. I usually listen to the replays. My boss listens as well and said something big was up. He wanted to wait till the replay at 10am to listen in its entirety. Something big must have happened since the replay is from Mondays show, not todays.

Seriously, as soon as I read the thread title, I said to myself "Artie Lange". He's absolutely priceless on there, but he's a complete mess. I dont mean for this to sound bad, but I would not be surprised if he ended up with a Chris Farley/Jim Belushi type story.

If he goes back on drugs. The overeating is really unhealthy, but those other guys were snorting and shooting insane amounts of narcotics as well. The show won't be the same without Artie.

Ya that's right, he's not on the coke like those guys were. Isn't he drinkin like a tank though? I dont really listen to Stern, but on Raw Dog, Jim Breuer's had him on his show a couple of times, and both times he was comin off(or in the middle of) a 3-day bender, in the middle of the week, in the middle of the afternoon. Sad stuff.

Its a shame...Artie is great on that show, but sometimes you had to wonder how long he would last there anyway. There are just so many things that he seems to hate about the gig in general. Part of me thinks that when you tune in after the vacation though that he'll be back apologizing and remorseful...but maybe its wishful thinking!

Thanks for the hook up Kryzsky. I really hope Artie isn't done. The show would suck without him. You can only take so much Dancing with the Stars, and American Idol talk.

didnt he walk off the show today???? anyone else who listens to howard?? do you see the recurring theme , the thursday before they go on a week long vacationThere is always some drama unfold the day before the take an extended break..... this is just dramatization for radio to keep the intrest and to give the fans something to talk about during the break

Maybe I just don't understand how if you're a drunk and a comedian, you work for the howard stern show and you get mad at someone who's trying to help you and they make a mistake. Maybe he should set his own flight and accommodation schedule? I do know absolutely nothing about the Howard Stern show as I'm a XM & Opie + Anthony fan... so maybe someone can fill me in on where i'm wrong.

Well he is artie's assistant and is paid fairly well to do stuff like that..... so im sure that is why artie is upset

After listening to yesterdays show a couple times. I have to say that Howard is totally at fault. I think he knows it to. That is why the replay was taken off the air. Immediately after the fight Robin was yelling at Howard questioning his tactics. He immediately reprimanded her and told her to calm down. Artie accused Howard of the same thing. After Artie blew up at Sal last year, Howard should have known that when Artie gets very angry it turns into rage. On the Wrap Up Show and the start of BTLS they were all taking phone calls from fans who were calling Howard a jerk for starting the whole thing and all the Stern and BTLS staffers were busy kissing Howard's ass by defending him.
