Can we make up a CPHL betting? Could be a good bet if 0-0 game will happen this season. Second time teams ended up scoreless in regulation, but both times somebody score in OT.

edited: what I was thinking about? Hawks just left 30 position after Pens' lost. We are no longer the last.

Something's wrong with those eyes man. Maybe Weeks should be examined for Verigo. Tough to stop the puck if you can't see it.

Senators tie one on with the Devils.

despite losing Turoc and Sakic to injury and already playing with out Jovo the Senators managed to tie the Devils in this one.

Not sure what the Sims Obession is with taking Turco out as this is now the 3 consectutive time he has been taken out. 2nd time in 2 weeks. despite being healthy going into games. This league really needs to do something to protect the goaltenders from being run in games. First the Canes run Turco and now the Devils.

Looks like the wild are going to benefit from these actions as we play them next which of course goes tomorrow.

The Smelly Rat
Dec. 12th, 2004

Kevin Weeks' first start with the Panthers was a struggle. The team failed on the PK which lead to 3 of the Bruins 5 goals on the night.

"How can we expect to win when we can't kill off penalties" said Penney. "We give Weeks a chance to start for us and he is expected to stand on his head??? That is not the situation we wanted him in his first game" said Penney.

The Panthers only managed 1 goal on the night which came on the PP. This loss marks the end of their 2 game winning streak. The Panthers will hope to get back on the winning track when they face the Flames on Monday.

A good effort by the Devils earns them a point in the 2-2 tie. Another game tomorrow against the Isles. I will update the website with the last 3 post game reports following tomorrows games. I have come down with the flu today and am trying to study for finals at the same time. But I will make time for the webpage tomorrow.

Lucky to be good, or good to be lucky

Hurricanes squeak out a win against a defenceless team yesterday. The Penguins, a team caught in the middle of a change over in the front office and looking to find an identity on the ice, just wasn’t in the right state to be playing fire-wagon hockey with a hot team.

The ‘Canes were able to score the only four of the second pretty much icing the game away. Scoring came from the usually sources as Milen Hejduk netted his first hat-trick of the season as Nathan Horton and Kenny Jonsson both assisted on three goals themselves.

David Asbischer backed the win as he continues to try and keep pace with the leaders by back stopping his 14th win of the season, bringing tied with Roliston and Hasek and trailing standout all-star Lalime be two.

Both Mike Komisarek and Pierre Dagenais suffered injuries and left the game but test shown that the injuries were nothing serious and Hurricanes GM sat them out for the restof the game for precautionary reasons and both players are expected to suit up against the Stars on Monday as Kip Miller faces of against his former team.
