Lucky to be good, or good to be lucky
Hurricanes squeak out a win against a defenceless team yesterday. The Penguins, a team caught in the middle of a change over in the front office and looking to find an identity on the ice, just wasn’t in the right state to be playing fire-wagon hockey with a hot team.
The ‘Canes were able to score the only four of the second pretty much icing the game away. Scoring came from the usually sources as Milen Hejduk netted his first hat-trick of the season as Nathan Horton and Kenny Jonsson both assisted on three goals themselves.
David Asbischer backed the win as he continues to try and keep pace with the leaders by back stopping his 14th win of the season, bringing tied with Roliston and Hasek and trailing standout all-star Lalime be two.
Both Mike Komisarek and Pierre Dagenais suffered injuries and left the game but test shown that the injuries were nothing serious and Hurricanes GM sat them out for the restof the game for precautionary reasons and both players are expected to suit up against the Stars on Monday as Kip Miller faces of against his former team.
