Toilet paper, over or under?
Which is correct?
I'm an under man myself. It's easier to do it with one hand. Plus when it hangs that way, the ridges are facing the right way. That's extra traction my friends

I believe over-hand is the correct way. At least most fancy hotels I've been to do that, as they like to fold swans and triangular shapes on the end of roll to show that they care.

I do over most of the time, but I really don't care so whatever way it ends up on there I can work with.

which ever way it happens to land on the roll holder. I seriously have better things to do then make sure it's over or under every time.

Haha not me, I have an unspoken war going on with my roomate with that. Whenever he's TCB'n in there he flips it over, and when I'm up to the plate I flip it under. It's been going on for weeks. I'll never give in, never!!!

It depends on the physics of the situation. If you have a low friction setup, the overhand roll will occasionally get away on you if you pull too hard and you have to manually rewind the roll, always a PITA. However, the disadvantage of the underhand roll is that if you pull the sheets off wrong, the end may stick to the roll and you have to search for the end of the roll.
I prefer the overhand because you don't have to spend any effort looking for the end, it's always hangin in front of you the. The occasional manual rewind of the roll is a price I am willing to pay.
But seriously, who needs to worry, that's what the gimp in the cellar is for isn't it...

True dat. If you have a cat, and it discovers how to unroll toilet paper going over, then your decision is made for you.

how is overhand any more likely to overunroll if you pull to hard then under is?

Notice how in the under position the toilet paper is usually touching the wall...Generally that is fine for home, but gross in public places..
Over for me

Even the Simpsons commented on this one, when Homer and Marge had the kids taken away by Child Services to live with the Flanders. The man's walking through the house, writing down everything he finds wrong, and at one point he mentions: "Toilet paper hung in incorrect overhand fashion".

Well the Simpsons were also responsible for my belief that toilets spun the other way in the southern hemisphere, we all know how wrong that one was now.
