sorry I didnt come across this thread until now. Did you end up watching the Flames game?
If you are still in town and want to watch the Canucks/Flames game tonight, good luck. It's hard trying to get someone to change the channel from March Madness to hockey this weekend unless the Sharks are playing. Since Sharks are playing at 5 pst, lots of sports bars should show that game, and it will be over at 8 pst, which is an hour after your game starts.
At that point, you should be able to ask someone to change the channel. You should go to a Brittania Arms (chain of sports bars) or the Zeke's sports bar in San Francisco. But if college bball or Sharks are on, they wont change the channel. You could also try a Chili's restaurant since they seem to be nicer about changing the channel.
I suggest you come to my house and watch it on my center ice cuz that's the only way you're going to find a non Sharks game on tv...
I dont mean to sound negative, I just get frustrated myself when I go to SF and try to watch Oilers......
You could contact the Stanford Canada Club and see where they meet up. When I went to uni, I contacted them and found out some of them get together at bars to watch hockey, but most of them at the time were Leafs/Habs fans and I didnt really care plus I didnt have a car and it was far.

I went to their events page and discovered they get together for sharks/calgary games, so maybe there are flaems fans that are a part of the group.....if you're still in town or for anyone else coming to the bay area, contact the club before you come and see where they meet to watch hockey. Stanford is in the city of Palo Alto which is about 20-30 mins from downtown SF..its a fun city.
