New Foo Fighters Tracks
I know there are some fans on this board.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/summer/2...fighters.shtml
There's a couple new tracks and a pretty good cover of Arcade Fire's "Keep The Car Running".

That is a good cover of Arcade Fire.
I read an interview where Dave was asked who he was listening to, and he said Arcade Fire in that interview.

iTunes Store has The Pretender single for immediate purchase and download if you pre-order the new album which is due for a late September release. I can't stop listening to it.

I've never wandered over to the OT forum before.
Then one day I find new Foo Fighters tracks and video.
I will never get work done again...

I've said it before and I'll say it again. The most talented member of Nirvana is still alive and writing music.

Dave Grohl is a living ledgend. Foo Fighters are the only real rock band left

Did anyone go to their Dome show in support of 'In your Honor'? Man, it was pure energy from the first to last song. They never let up, never tried to sneak in any filler (like 99% of bands do in their shows). It was just sheer energy. The best part was when Dave played the opening riff for In your Honor, while that giant apparatus lifted to reveal the band. Hopefully they come back very soon.

yeah, I wa at the show. I was a bit disappointed the fan club pre-buy tickets were at the back, but it was a great show. They don't appear to play "I'll Stick Around" anymore, but I guess their catalog is so large they can't play everything.

Right when they hit the opening E chord I had just got to the end of the row to go take a piss....needless to say I went straight back and held it in for the rest of the show. On my way back somebody knocked over her friends beers, and I got blamed for it. Oh well.
It was a good laugh when someone threw a joint on stage and Grohl pretended he was gonna smoke it then tossed it away.

C'mon, I like the Foo Fighters as much as the next guy ... but the only real rock band left? Let's not go overboard.

I'm excluding bands of from the 80's and before like U2 for example. With all these whinny little emo bands that have to relay on eyeliner to make them cool, the Foo Fighters are in a league of their own. They are our generations best rock band

Very much. Maybe I should rephrase it to say they are the Best of whats left. That's probably a better way to put it

Velvet Revolver is pretty good....
The Foos are my favourite active band, but to say that they are the only real rock band left is hyperbole.

The 2003 show at Shaw Conference will be hard to top. I've seen the band 6 or 7 times and I don't think that show will ever be matched
