it's almost TOO realistic. Sarah Connor is going to have to kick some 4 legged ass now

Man that thing is downright creepy.

First thing I thought was "it'd be pretty easy to knock over". I guess not.

It sure makes a pleasant noise though.

Man, when that guy kicked it - I could just imagine some red lights coming on and it turning around and killing him.

Creepy indeed.

Though give them a couple iterations, put some armour on them, and let's send'em overseas ... those things would scare the HELL out of anyone...

looks like a giant bug. freaking creepy. but i guess all you have to do is fill your driveway with ice and then the thing will slip and slide around until it finds a dry patch. would be funny to put it on a hockey rink.

And it's being funded by DARPA so i'm sure you'll see the byproducts of this engineering on the battlefield someday.

Looks like it's pretty close to being useful already. It can already lift a notable amount of stuff and go over some pretty difficult terrain. I could definitely see this having uses in places like Afghanistan to carry stuff. Of course, maintenance and range are definite issues.

Another good use for this could be bringing relief to disaster areas, when all the roads are wrecked.

I wonder if it would be stable enough to carry someone wounded or injured.

Reminds me of those weird landstrider things from the movie the Dark Crystal.
