The Bus
I know the QC fans are familiar with this, but I thought the Calgary fans might like to see this. The QC Flames bought an ad on a Davenport city bus where the entire bus is covered (I hope this hasn't been posted already). That is a giant picture of Eric Nystrom wearing a Calgary jersey on the side of it cruising around town.

Looks pretty cool.
Hopefully that advertizing puts more arses in the seats.

They've had the ad going all year. I just got around to taking a picture of it.
Attendance has been up lately. I think they'll finish the rest of the year well. I hope they build on it next year.

I'd never seen that before, but I don't get to the scary side of the river very often.

Who ever did the paint job did a great job. And looks like it could be an effective marketing tool.

Most likely it's a vinyl wrap, not paint.

Every time I see this bus I remember that I should take a picture of it for CP, but now I will no longer have this guilt! Thanks Pioneer98.
Do the Big Flames have their own city bus?

the Flames don't really advertise at all in Calgary, being that every game has been sold out since '04 they don't really need to. however come playoff time nearly every city bus ends up getting some sort of Flames sign or poster, put up by the drivers themselves. their version of the car flags that pop up every year come April
Canadians are kinda nuts when it comes to hockey patriotism, especially during a playoff run. this is a picture from the Canadian embassy in Washington during the Flames '04 run

Hey Sparky, do you know why all the trees lean to the west over here?
Because Iowa sucks

This is the Illinois that has a number of its governors in jail or heading for jail, is dominated by corrupt Chicago politics, and can spend $100M on an empty prison but not a few million for a QC university?
That doesn't seem like much to brag about to me.
...not to get off topic or anything.

Admospheres is the company that puts on the bus ads. It is some kind of vinyl wrap. Just in case any of those Calgary bus drivers want to out-do the others for the playoff run.
