Default Another xbox360 RROD question

I just got the RROD on my xbox and am currently going through the song and dance with microsoft to get it in for repair. My question is, I have some downloaded content on there (ie, purchased songs for guitar hero, stuff like that). Will there be an issue getting those back? I'm assuming since they know I've downloaded them, that I can just re-download when I get a replacement unit?

You normally should not send in the hard drive with the unit, I kept my HD and just sent the console.

I also have heard that if you are an xbox online member, u can download previous content, but am not completely sure.

interesting - I'm not the most tech-savvy, so I don't feel all that comfortable taking stuff apart - I'll see what they say about that when I call support tomorrow.

Taking out the HD is very easy and simple, just pull back a sliding notch and out it comes. When MS sends you a box to ship to them, it will have instructions on there on how to send the console in, without the HD. In fact they ask for you not to send the HD in with the unit.

A ######ed monkey could take the HD off a 360

Its a press of a button and slide.
