Default Great Mystery Novels?

I was selling a bunch of used books today and as I waited somehow the mystery section caught my eye. I have never really been a fan of the mystery genre since I was forced to read Agatha Christie's Ten Little Indians in grade 8.

Is anyone out there a big fan? Can anyone recommend a good one? all of a sudden I am intrigued to read a couple of really good Mystery novels. To give you an idea of what I mean, I really enjoyed the mystery genre motion pictures Matchstick Men (Nick Cage) or The Game (M.Douglas, Sean Penn).
A novel that keeps you guessing right to the end.

Thanks in advance for a great read.

Boris Akunin - His Novels keep you guessing and there is an excellent element of adventure written into the plot as well. So many twists and turns in each of them.

You don't have to read them in order, but you should. The Winter Queen is a great place to start to see if you like his work.
