GeForce 8800GT or 9600GT, costs $180 if you get sales/rebates

The new goggles also do nothing.

Agreed, no better price/performance ratio card out there right now.

Do you even have a PCI-E slot available? I don't know if there AGP versions of your current card so you should check that first and your mobo.

I take it AGP has gone the way of the dinosaur?

Do AGP 8800 GT's even exist?

I'm on a 6600 gt right now and don't really want to do a full system upgrade but would like to update my video card so Crysis doesn't look either like a slideshow, or with settings so low the game looks like it was made in 1997.

Any recommendations or am I forced to upgrade more than just the video card?

Yeah I don't think 8800GT agp exists, probably the most powerful AGP card is an ATI 3850.

There's not much you can do, if you are on AGP, the best you can do is a ATI 3850

Crysis will still be slideshowy...

If you want to play Crysis at high settings you need this:

http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/...thon,1797.html

Or this:

http://www1.ca.dell.com/content/prod...hs1&l=en&s=dhs

Seriously though, I don't know what resolution you want to play at, but I suggest taking a look at these charts.

http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/...w,1792-10.html
http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/...ew,1800-7.html

Unless you want a new system, and a very, very high end one at that... I'd say no Crysis for you.

Those FPS charts are NOT encouraging.

Of course I don't need to play it at an insane resolution, just better than 800X600 on low detail.

Regardless, I'll need a new system for that. Oh well thanks for the info guys.
