Default Need to hire a driver - One Night Only - $160

** THE POSITION HAS BEEN FILLED. THANKS TO ALL WHO SHOWED INTEREST **

Hey Calpuckers.

I'm looking for someone who knows the city well and could stay up past 5:00am this coming Saturday.

I'm throwing a big party in the NW and want to hire someone to drive my guests home. (You simply can't count on cabs and waiting for a ride at the end of the night is a real buzz-kill).

I'll supply the vehicle / gas and I can guarantee $40 per hour for four hours. In the end, it might even be a little more.

I have done this twice already and always found someone through the grapevine...but the party is only six days away and I'm getting a little worried.

So if you know Calgary quite well, would be OK driving groups of people around from 1:00am - 5:00am and want to make some quick cash - please PM me. (Dustin). Note - some of the people needing rides home will be hot chicks. (perk)

Throw in all the booze I can drink at the party and I'm in.

This thread is nothing without pictures....of the girls in question.

How does insurance work for this?

Heh...I can only imagine how the conversation would go if you were pulled over in someone else's car, driving a bunch of drunk hot chicks.

'No, no officer, you see the guy paid me $160 to drive these girls around..."

You could clean house with every car load.

Load up the car with drunk partiers, then eventually stop and tell them you need to get some gas. They'll be throwing money at you out of appreciation for the noble work you are doing and will be more than happy to chip in for the fuel.

Good luck with the insurance on this one. The liability of driving someone else's car with a full car of passengers is not worth the $160.

I guess nothing. Though cleaning the puke out of your own car doesn't sound as fun as leaving the puke in someone else's.

I really don't see any liability here at all. It just the same as if your buddy got drunk and you had to drive him and his car and some buddies home. Just to be prudent, confirm with your insurer and cops. I would be amazed if the cops had any issue with a sober driver driving home a bunch of party'rs

Besides, if he/she got into an accident, it would be JohnnyTitan's insurance that would be applicable, not the drivers. The driver would only be charged with an offense if it applies. As long as there is consent that the DD can drive the car (and it can be implied consent), then the onus is on the owners insurance.

So really, if you are leery on agreeing to drive because of insurance, you have no reason to.
