My friend from London, ON is coming here tomorrow to do some motivational speaking. Our conversation yesterday:

Him: "What the heck am I flying into?"
Me: "The planet Hoth."

Feel sorry for that guy. I am here in London, and it's been just awesome weather (I may have rubbed this in you Calgarians face a few times this week already, but you guys were getting good weather a month ago while were digging out of 3 feet of snow so screw it, I'm gonna keep it up).

Did you tell him to watch out for the Wampas?

Honestly, it hasn't been that bad, no where near as bad as what you guys got this winter. Its just a late season cold snap. These things usually go away pretty quick.

If the weather man is right, should be gone by Friday. Definitely nothing like what happened out east.

My parents and siblings live in London and have been reminding me they are wearing shorts...
Meanwhile I had to shovel

I rode this guy to work today, he smells bad, but serves as an efficient method of transportation.

And to me that's what's so bad about this. 20-40 cm of snow in April or May? Sure, I'm a Calgarian- bring it on.

It's the fact that it's too cold to want to be outside, the roads are like they are throughout the coldest of winter months, and on Friday even the long range forecast still showed temperatures at least 15-20 degrees below normal.

I got home Friday night at about 9:45 PM and didn't leave the house until about 7:50 AM this morning. Hibernating in April FTL.

This is the time of the year when i'm out on some golf course chasing a dimpled white ball. The last thing i want to be doing is shoveling.

So this is Christmas
With the Flames on a run
The Oilers' year over
And ours just begun
And so this is Christmas
I hope they had fun
But hopes in San Jose
Will end in round one
