This isn't that ground breaking a discovery. There are different algaes that already do that. A power company here in Phoenix, using natural gas to generate steam, is capturing their CO2 emmissions and piping it into containment vessles that have this algae in it. The algae converts the CO2 to O2 and creates more algae. This stuff is then collected and used to create ethonal fuel, a biomass for cattle feed, and a biomass that can be reburned to generate more steam. It's one company building a closed system to harness more energy from their own wastes while bing enviornmentally friendly.
