ok usually i can at least get an idea of how he and others like him pull of their stunts, but this one has me going completely WDF!? any theories on how he pulls this off?
actually after thinking about it a little bit, i think it has to be some sort of prosthetic "pouch" that goes along the length of his arm, and the signed quarter/girl are the usual plants. if that is how he does it though then it's still damn good, his arm doesn't look unusual at all
#1) The camera is constantly cutting from one view to another. God knows what has happened in between that time.
#2) As mentioned above, there is no blood. You can't cut your arm open like that with a friggen box cutter without making blood. My nose bleeds more than that when I pick it.
"Camera Tricks" is how they explain it, but they have zero proof to back it up. They are actually the amateurs here trying to discredit his results. The fact is, he is as close as a human can come, to being connected to the spirit world and Satanism.
Take this for what it's worth, but if you saw him live you would be in awe because you wouldn't be able to disprove his "tricks".
I don't like him because he comes off as a ######. I don't think I've ever been able to sit through his show
Wasn't gonna say anything since I didnt wanna derail the thread, but since its already come up a few times I'll chime in. I totally agree, he just really bugs me. I saw him reveal secrets on how to do the "stick your hand through someone trick", which involved the use of fake blood. He put it on his finger, then licked it off, then stuck out his tongue to show the fake blood to the camera, with this tryhard demonic look on his face. I just started laughing.
Also, every time I've seen him do a minor trick with a cutie, he finds some excuse for the trick to involve taking his shirt off. Yes you're in good shape bud, that's dynamite. Nice black nailpolish too. He just really rubs me the wrong way.

The main reason why magician's hate him and discredit his work is simple!
He makes lots of money. Criss and David Blaine have equals 100 times over, however they can sell themselves and get a gig that will pay millions. Most practiced magicians can replicate these feats, but who gets into magic these days?
It ain't the charismatic go getter that can stun the boys and wow the ladies.
No, unfortunately most magicians regardless of technique have a less than magnetic personality.
Pure and simple Criss Angel and David Blaine have above average to excellent magic abilities but they have the right agent! That's why they're hated within the inner circle.

...or theyre as connected as humanly possible to the spirit world and Satanic rituals.
Penn and Teller have a problem with David Blaine because he takes himself too seriously. He actually tries (or at least tried) to convince people he did "magic".
Criss Angel realizes it's entertainment. And for what it's worth, he now has a live show in vegas so i'm not sure how he plans on "hiding behind the camera" there.

funny thing, went down in September for a buddy's wedding and we were all staying at the Luxor. Criss Angel has his own personal suite at the top of the pyramid, and on the last day buddy who got married was going down to the lobby to checkout when who should he step into the elevator with but the man himself. had his hair dyed blond and the only way my friend was able to tell it was him was from the voice, since he was talking to some assistant about his plans. i was waiting out front in my car for them and soon as they got in we saw him drive away in his unbelievably nice Lamborghini
totally made my friends trip as he's a big fan of the guy, and to this day if you ask him what the best part of that week was, the wedding doesn't even figure into it. he just says "Criss Angel!"
I've never cared for Criss Angel. I find his show way too over the top dramatic and his huge ego makes the show almost impossible to watch. It doesn't help that his circle of friends and family are on the show over acting and inflating his ego even more.
But I did gain some respect for him when he was on NBC's show Phenomenon. It was a short lived show hosted by Uri Geller and Criss Angel and it was essentially American Idol for paranormal, mentalists, psychics, mindfreaks etc. Well Criss Angel has always maintained that what he is doing is all tricks. There is no such thing as paranormal, psychics, or that is he is connect to the spirit world and Satan. So when one of the contestants claimed that his talking to the dead was real Criss Angel challenged him and Uri to guess what was in an envelope in his pocket. Even offering up a million dollars of his own money. Well the alleged psychic lost it on him and hilarity ensued. And no the clown didn't guess what was in the envelope.
