Default Who did you vote for? - Official Election Results Thread

Since I am out of town on the 3rd I went and voted today. Can the mods start a poll please for who you voted for?

I voted for WRA because I wanted to send a message to the PC's. I have been a PC member since I was 16 years old but I just couldn't support them this election.

I voted Marxist-Leninist in the last federal election; too bad no such party exists for provincial politics!

Still undecided. Caught between WRA and PC. Guess I'll find out who I vote for on Monday.

I'll vote WRA with reservation. I like their fiscal platform, but question their social platform. The PCs no longer reflect my views, and the Liberals, Greens and Dippers never did. (Though the Liberals are most assuredly the lesser of the "three evils")

First time in a long time that I'm not voting PC, and casting a true protest vote.

So I went with the commies, they're not going to get seats so my vote doesn't change the order of things. I can't vote for the Liberal's or NDP, At the moment, nobody has given me a reason to vote for the WRA.

It would be funny if everyone thought that voting for the Communinsts would be a harmless protest vote and they won.

However its more then likely that they'll try to overthrow the government instead.

Looks like the WRA might be this years popular protest vote. Not enough support to actually form a government, but not as radical as the communist party if they somehow did.

Me too! But only because I'm in the NW where the candidate for the conservatives was a ###### and I didn't want to support him (even though I knew he would win anyways)

I have no idea this year. I'm living in Edmonton/Strathcona which will almost definitely go NDP. I might vote Liberal. No way am I voting for the WRA, and the Conservatives have been terrible for a while now.

Still somewhat undecided, I cant bring myself to vote WRA, I dont agree with their social policies.

We shall see. I shall cast my protest vote elsewhere.

The last time I thought that, Bob Rae ended up taking office.

It happened almost EXACTLY the way people on CP seem to be indicating they are going to vote.

I think that even though they bugged me in the middle of the SuperBowl I will end up voting Liberal this time around. (Sorry, just threw up in my mouth a little.)

My ideal situation is after this election is done the PCs end up with a lot fewer seats than they have now; even a slight minority gov't. That's because I want Ed out of the Premiere's office; and the only way that's going to happen is if he somewhat loses this election.

I also feel somewhat safe in voting Liberal because Calgary seems to be the only place the Liberals have a good chance, so let them get some seats here.

That right there sums my thoughts up. The Liberals are not going to win the whole thing...but they need to win enough to send a strong message. The Wildrose Alliance is not going to win enough seats to send that message, and socially I disagree with them.

Well I'm moving out of Alberta on the 21st of March...so rather than screw up the province for the rest of you by voting for the wrong guy. I'll just abstain from voting I think. Easy way out as I have no idea who I would have wanted to vote for as I really don't think anyone is any good. Of course in B.C. when it comes to that...I'll be in the same boat of all parites and their leaders don't impress me and which one sucks the least.
