Default Jeff Healey passes away

Canadian blues/rock artist dies at the age of 41 due to cancer. The man could play the guitar and sing so well, all even the fact he was blind. Here's a tune from 1988

RIP

RIP Jeff Healey. Really quite amazing what he accomplished considering the fact that he was blind.

Terrible news.. His version of "My guitar gently weeps" is the best in my opinion..

His website says he died on the eve of the release of a new blues album he was working on..

Holy crap! I didn't even know he was blind...

Cancer sucks. My cousin died last friday of cancer. the thread the other day about where your charity money goes reminds me that most of my future donations will go to cancer research. My grandfather also died of cancer, but having a 24 y/o cousin die from it really illustrates to me how crappy that disease really is.

RIP Jeff Healy

Very sad news.

I've had the opportunity to meet the man in the past. Very talented and personable individual.

That is indeed sad. Another case of the good dying too young.

hmmm misread this title, thought it was Glenn Healy who died and was pondering to myself how much the quality of TSNs hockey broadcasts just increased.

Jeff Healey was a great guitarist...arguably the best this country has ever produced. RIP.

That's a ######ed post. ...... and the common phrase "relax, it was just a joke" does not apply here imo. That's just brutal.

I just checked his wikipedia page...cancer of the eyes at 1 year old caused his blindness; cancer surgery in early 2007, and other cancer surgery 18 months prior to that. He's had a tough life.

Wonder if it was the same cancer?

My mother in law lost an eye to cancer that had not spread. 10 years later she died from the same cancer in her liver. Actually common for that type of cancer to show up in the liver down the road.
