Default Farewell...stage6

There's sad news for those of us that use and enjoy stage6.com. If you didn't already know, they are closing their doors forever as of Feb 28. I spent many countless hours watching tv shows and documentaries (and to a small extent, movies) on that site, and am sad to see it go.

Where am I going to get my high quality streaming divx fix now? Back to bittorrent I guess.

Oops, this should really be in the tech forum. Sorry mods!

Are you serious? That's horrible! Everything is going down these days. After TVLinks...

I'm almost scared to ask what stage6 was. Have I been using bittorrent like a fool? Any other places to get a divx fix?

Stage6 was like Youtube but the videos were of extremely high quality...basically streaming full quality divx.

It's too bad you didn't discover stage6 earlier. It was great in it's hayday. Say you wanted to watch an entire series of some show. You don't have to waste time downloading it via bittorrent, just watch it on stage6.

Its too bad....you could basically watch just about anything on there.

Except hockey...but I'm sure that would have come with more time.
