Wow, I turned on the TV last night and I could believe it, it was Weekend Update with Tina Fey, I was ridiculously giddy for like 15 minutes. Weekend Update with Tiny Fey was my favorite part of Saturdays for years.
30 Rock is okay, but she's sorely missed as part of the SNL crew. I wish there was a way to watch past weekend updates but of course, NBC would never allow that sort of thing on Youtube. She's also waaaay older than me but I had a crush on her for years. Weekend Update was funny again (Amy Poeler just doesn't cut it, she doesn't have the look or the comedic timing).
Anyway, Tina Fey was the guest star on the show as I guess it helps the writers strike transition back into normalcy and it was surprisingly a pretty good show except for some horrible skits that made me cringe ("I drink your milkshake!"). Did anybody else see SNL last night?
Will always believe that Dennis Miller was the best Weekend Update anchor ever.
I have to remind myself that there is a whole generation that doesn't know what SNL was like in the late 80's and early 90's.

The David Hasselhoff references were gold as well.
