He's 28, and signed at $3.75M for three years. He's already great value at 75OV, and this season in the NHL he has already matched last season's point total and is on pace for the second best season of his career. You're looking at a guy who is good now, will be better next season, and will still be around the year after that.

Also, I would be willing to trade a draft pick for another defenceman (a la Jim Vandermeer for a 3rd) if anyone wants to stock up for the draft.
