Default best deals for new or used cars

My car is dying and I'm looking perferably for a car that is 1 to 2 yrs old. Where are the best deals now for new cars. Is there anywhere offering low interest financing etc etc.

New Corrolas are going for dirt cheap, plus I can't remember if it was Honda or Toyota, but one of them is offering their lowest interest rate in years.

Haven't the latest Corolla's dropped Toyota's reliability ratings?

Ooops. I was wrong, redesigned Camry and V8 Tundra have dropped Toyota's reliability rating according to Consumer Reports.

Redesigned 06/07 Civic seems to be the best bet.

If you can wait until summer the big 3 do their annual employee pricing event. Not sure if the imports run a similar program

Sounds like you're on your way to a few dealerships to look for lease trade ins.
Seriously, for the 1-2 year discount, a dealership is probably the way to go. They'll give you a warranty (and then sell you an extended one), but at least you wont have to climb under the hood to (try to) fix much.
A private sale after 1-2 years is just a little too suspicious if you ask me.

suspicious? a private sale after 1-2 years is the best thing going. Usually means a forced sale of some kind, you dont pay any GST, and the seller is usually motivated...trust me, I know.....
the only thing about going thru a dealership to buy used is you can finance at a bit lower rate....sometimes. Also, there is a pretty good markup sometimes when you go thru the used car dept in dealerships
Private sales are always the better way to go!
My opinion is a bit kiltered, as I happen to be selling a year old car!

Every new car I've ever owned has been sold within 2 or 3 years because I get bored and like to waste my money on cars. Nothing wrong with them at all.
