Whatever he sounds like, he is a great speaker. One the best I have heard.

People browsing an internet forum while at work? If I wanted only pertinent news I'd stick to CNN and the NY Times...
I think Obama sounds exactly like The Rock... it's uncanny.

The Rock is one of the best public speakers wrestling has ever seen. He has charaisma, timing, and ability to control the crowd with is words. I used to tune into Raw every Monday solely to watch him speak.
Obama from all accounts is another amazing public speaker, a skill that is necessary for public office, at least the office of the presidency of the United States. Your ability to public speak alone can get you elected and put you over the top.

If this has become the acceptable standard for making a thread that is pretty sad
New topic:My cat looks just like Hilary Clinton!!
I have always considered this forum a place for intelligent discussion...perhaps I should reconsider

Basically, if you don't care about a thread. Get the F Out... I still will never understand how anyone enters a thread they know they don't care about and take the time to drop a line.
Calgarypuck has many intelligent threads running... There is some room for entertainment as well.

Or maybe just reconsider entering threads that are obviously not going to be laden with intelligent discussion... I mean come on, the thread title pretty much sums up what the thread is going to be about... you weren't tricked into clicking it.

Before he begins a speech

It wouldn't be that hard to establish a standard if more people used the "Rate Thread" feature. Most one or two star threads fall off the front pretty quick. I know I usually skip over them.
