I use TSN and I've never been spammed. When I signed up, I was able to pick what I wanted texts about so I only get it with regards to NHL and CFL news. On Trade Deadline Day and Free Agency day, be prepared for your phone to go off every 10 mintues if it gets busy!

I second that question.
If it's free, I'd sign up in a heartbeat.

I get TSN text message alerts on the NHL, and they are free of charge. They are free from TSN at least, I assume that the messages still count towards any limit your service provider gives you.
