Chianti's is terrible IMHO. Try La Brezza's in Bridgeland if you want something that'll impress (and isn't expensive).

San Remo - Oakridge - 90th Ave SW - very nice.
http://www.discovercalgary.com/Calga...sBars/Italian/
San Remo Ristorante specializes in cuisine from Northern Italy. They feature such items as potato pasta in a white wine sage butter sauce, chicken breast with artichokes and garlic in white wine pesto butter, and fresh salmon and crab wrapped in phyllo. They are open Tuesday to Sunday from 5 pm to 10 pm.
Address: 2515 - 90 Ave SW

The best Idea you would ever have is too NEVER go to Chianti’s again
That place is pure garbage
Modi Italian is pretty OK can’t really think of any other place

Here to echo how much Chianti's sucks.
Is this Inn on Lake Bonavista still open? That place was very nice.

You might need a reservation - it's a small place.

I wish the heck I could like fish, I just hate the taste of it . . . I wish I could eat one, they look so good . . .

You love it too? I am salivating now thinking about that divine seafood soup they serve in the spicy tomato broth. MMMNNNNNNN, scallops, shrimp, clams, ..... and the mussel appetizer with the beans is some good too
It is much better than the San Remo in Marda Loop, that one does not even have the seafood soup on their menut!!!

Yes it is, but it is now called the Newport Grill. Pretty high end, but very good. The executive chef there is a good friend of ours.

La Piccola Napoli in Avenida is awesome. Ciao Baby's in Macleod Plaza is very, very good too.
San Remo at Marda Loop was junk when I went, it was like Chef Boyardee... but maybe the Oakridge one is good.

Been there several times, every time left less than impressed, never bad, but never extraordinary either. And you should get better than "never bad" at the prices they charge.
