Down-Syndrome Suicide Bombers
Sometimes, you wonder how "low" is actually "low" for fanatics . . . . .
Remote-controlled explosives strapped to two mentally ######ed women detonated in a coordinated attack on Baghdad pet bazaars Friday, Iraqi officials said, killing at least 73 people in the deadliest day since the U.S. sent 30,000 extra troops to the capital last spring.
The chief Iraqi military spokesman in Baghdad, Brig. Gen. Qassim al-Moussawi, said the female bombers had Down syndrome and that the explosives were detonated by remote control indicating they may not having been willing attackers in what could be a new method by suspected Sunni insurgents to subvert stepped up security measures.

Not to lighten the mood, but the family guy had a great take on the whole 72 virgins for Martyrs concept.
A random terrorist pops into paradise and is confronted by 72 older male nerds playing World of Warcraft on laptops.
The above article is sickening to me. Theres no pit in hell deep enough for the creep that thought that up.

It's certainly effective in further alienating radical islamists from the general population.
They've been rather good at shrinking their base of support.

"Uncool" isn't the word for this. If the reports are true, I think this is one time where we can safely use the word "evil."

Even though there isn't much that shocks me about the middle east at this point, this made me even more than a little disturbed when I read it on the BBC this morning. More or less breaks every rule of decency. I'm really concerned about the fall out to this. Now US and iraqi soldiers will have to treat every woman, every handicapped person, and every person in need of medical aid like a potential suicide bomber.

This doesn't surprise me at all. It really shouldn't surprise anyone who had been paying attention.

When an organization devotes itself to blowing people up for the sake of inspiring fear, you would think it would be hard to sink any "lower".
Mission accomplished.
Pretty much the only way this gets worse is if they start using handicapped children.

As this demonstrates, you can have the most powerful army in the world and you can't stop some people. The only answer I see is changing people's hearts.

Ah, Al Queda took a play from the Palestinian playbook.
Now they need to blame it on Israel and have the international media make excuses for them.

Apparently there`s no one left in the organization that believes enough in the virgins to do it themselves anymore. Truely sad. A man would have to be quite the sack of to do that to another human.
