Default Car Help: Windows Won't Defrost Adequately?

Hi, just wondering if anyone has any tips/advice on what I should do to get the windows (particularly the back-side windows) to defrost better. The rear windshield, front and front two are defrosting a-ok, but when I shoulder check to change lanes, I have a problem seeing out the back side windows, because they are totally frosted over. In addition, the car isn't that old, it's a 2002 Honda Civic, and most cars of that age on the roads, well I don't see them driving up to me with frosted windows. What should I do or check up on? Thanks for any and all tips, including the obvious ones!

Do you park your car outside?

BTW, this thread is discussing the same thing.
