Default Shinny Game 2

Alright. I had an idea. Hockey Day in Canada is coming. I say we have a shinny game in honour of Canada's greatest unofficial holiday.
Last time we tried to do this we didn't give enough notice, but I figure this is plenty.
Hockey Day is February 9.
So I say we get together, play some hockey in the afternoon, then those of us going to the game can head down, and those who aren't can watch it together if they want.
Who wants in?

Edit:
Rhettzky is going to get us an hour Somewhere. When we were talking about Max Bell he said it'll be $100. I don't see it being to much different then that anywhere else, so if we have two full teams that'll be like 5 bucks a head. Once we get closer, the actual money figure will be given out. Anyone who wants to chip in on the initial deposit can feel free to so that Rhetzky and I aren't putting out $50 each right away.

Roster:
FooFighter15√
Rhetzky√
StrayBullet√ (apparently he's going to wear nothing but a speedo)
StoneCole√
RubeCube?
Kryzsky?
Troutman?
Chobyhy?
Fotze?
czure32?
flameswin?
Rhetts_the_Best?
LIP MAN?
United?

Questions marks are for people who have posted in here, but haven't actually confirmed

Where? I nominate South Calgary (behind the library) or Queensland...but I'm also a selfish ass.

Nominate away, and when it gets closer, maybe we can take a poll of which arena to go to. Preferably somewhere we can take over and minimal others there

I'll vote for South Calgary also, that's the rink I hit a few times a week.

Should we maybe try to rent an hour at a rink?

Could do. What's the average cost of that?

Dunno, but I remember in the last thread we did, someone said they were friends with a rink rat that could get us time

I vote for somewhere in the North. If we're going outdoor, we should go Silversprings or Varsity.

I might be down with this
i guess it depends how much i want to watch the early early game prior to watching the flames take out the greaser filth at 5 pm
I could likely convince a few friends to play as well

You lose! I nominate either a) Deer Run (Bosko), they have a zamboni and incredible ice, it feels like your skating at an indoor rink, or b) rent a rink, which is about $170 an hour, and kind of hard to find ice time.

If you get a good number of guys, the ice doesn't seem as big because you're not out there for 10 minute shifts.

Good idea, you have to go with a central location. Although, the one rink in town that is right in the middle of everything, the Dome. I've always wanted to skate on that ice.

Good Idea, only if you pay for the cost
Then we can finally find out how crappy the ice at the Dome is.

It will still be the best ice you have ever skated on!

I can get us an hour at the Max Bell Arena, kind of centrally located. Right now it's worth about $100 for an hour. As for money if we just get five guys to chip in twenty bucks to cover the cost up-front then we can collect money from everyone else day of.

Hey Foofighter, you should start up a roster. I'm in and play forward or d, both crappily.
