yeah, i cant wait for the orange box to come out, all 3 games look amazing! i know episode 2 will be epic, and team fortress 2 is bound to be a classic, just like the original.
and portal, well portal just looks absolutley mindbending.

I can't wait. A friend got me into FTC which we played for awhile till we switched to CS 1.5. They ruined CS, lets hope TF2 is good. I'll be buying for 360.
The original TFC (as well as CS) marked my entrance into the world of online gaming. LOVED the original and really looking forward to this one as well.
I thought it comes out tomorrow? Regardless, I pre-ordered the orange box on the weekend. Team Fortress 2 alone is almost worth the whole price of the box. That game is all kinds of fun. I preloaded HL2: Episode 2 and Portal, which both should be good. I am especially looking forward to Portal, looks like a very innovative idea to me.
We should have a Team Fortress 2 CP night in the near future.
It's $45 US ($45 CDN? ) online from steam but you don't get hard copies of the games, seems like around $60 from stores in Calgary for the boxed version.
Yeah, looks like some incorrect release dates. Maybe with the holiday it's coming out on Wednesday instead of Tuesdays like usual. SIGH, another day to wait. I just think it's weird that there's no reviews yet. It went gold around two weeks ago.
The release a few weeks ago was still technically the Beta, so odds are they held off on reviews until the actual release. Future shop will probably have it in today since they usually like to ignore release dates and release things a day in advance.

You can back up any Steam game and then burn it onto a CD or DVD. I've never done it, but I am sure it's fairly straight forward.

there's really no point though. with now fast most internet connections are and how cheap bandwidth is now it's easy enough to just redownload the games if you reinstall windows or something else. personally i find using Steam and not having to fumble around with discs is awesome. i originally hated Steam when it first came out but they've really brought it to a respectable level now
