Another rough game for the Leafs as they fall to SJ, 2-1.
Well last night we played well but gave away points because Grahame was bad. Tonight he played awesome and earned the first star but we lose none the less.
We've been pretty good in the shots for-shots against department all season, even when losing. But this was a bad bad game by the Leafs. We allowed 37 shots and only put 19 on the SJ net. When you play like that you deserve to lose.
PM Bouchard got the lone goal in the first period and we actually led in the 3rd. But the Sharks finally broke through after 46 minutes. Chris Kelly, in his last game as a Leafs, took a spearing major and the Sharks scored. They then got the game winner with 2 minutes left and that was that.
Hopefully Lundqvist is ready for tomorrow and we can get back to playing decent.

Big win against a good Leafs team! In the two games Malik has been in a Sharks uniform, both without the help of Hossa, we've give up 20 and 19 shots respectively to teams higher than us in the standings. Hopefully a sign of things to come!
Afinogenov with another 2 points on the top line tonight is making a strong case for himself to keep that job when Hossa gets back, but we still miss his amazing goal scoring ability.

LOL, looked who scored for the Canucks:
1. CANUCKS, FITZPATRICK 1 (RASMUSSEN, IVANANS), 09:25
His first goal of the season. Two AHL caliber players assist on Rory "All Star" Fitzpatrick's goal.
Nice job, Marty B:
Martin Biron (CAN), 32 saves out of 33 shots

Emery goes down in the third...bit it's only minor and he should be good as new after a day or so of rest.
Six players with two points, including Phil the Thrill who pots two goals.
Twas quite the rough affair with a spearing major and a charging major handed out to the Blues.
Story of the Game:
Power Play Conversions BLUES 4 for 7
DUCKS 3 for 6

Thrashers lose to the Kings 3-2. Roloson made his return after 3 weeks on the IR and played decent as the Thrashers were outshot and outplayed but a Kings goal with less then 3 minutes left in the 3rd sealed the victory for LA. Staios was injured in this game but he shouldn't miss too much time. Thrashers now get ready for the all-star weekend in Atlanta.

Panthers fail to tie the home-and-home series
Panthers fell 3-2 to the Oilers today, their 2nd loss against the Oilers in back to back games. Shots were even 31-28, newly acquired Wellwood lead the team with 5 shots. Wellwood picked up an assist on the 2nd goal. Richards scored his 22nd goal of the season, and Giordano picked up his 4th.
Gaborik, Richards, and Straka head to the all star game.

Fantastic for the Oilers to sweep the home-and-home with the Panthers, without the services of Zetterberg. I don't know what happened with the lines, I intended to scratch the mildly injured Bergeron but instead he plays and gets two points! Really surprising result, well done Oilers!
