Nice glitch, or did you intend to scratch Bell? I'm more impressed with Morrisons 12 PIM and 0 IT totals lol

Big big win for the Sabres as we had been beaten badly by the Hawks the last few times, we'll take a 5-2 win with again 3 of our D men out. Wade Belak has done a safe job on the blueline for the team the last few games. A number of players with multipoint games today including Reinprecht, Penner, Lupul and Fedotenko. We have new lines with good chemistry which may have us resist the temptation for a deal at this time, although we lost yet another player to injury today (as always), this time the steady unsung hero Jed Ortmeyer. Alex Steen though is finally back to good health. Tobias Enstrom picked up his first CPHL goal.

The Wild are starting to make a move. Now just 4 back of the Hawks for the division lead.

Satan continues to look good in a Wild uni - 2 more goals today.
Some good performances from our young players too - Malkin, Cammy and Brown all with multiple point nights.

Somehow the addition of Jokinen has made this team even more inept at scoring goals. 18 shots and 1 goal, from Jeff Taffe? Seriously, our 4th line has scored most of our goals in the last 3 games. Awful.

No more whacko lines now that Cullen will be back.

1 shot in the first period for Montreal, 5 shots after 2. That's gotta be close to if not a league record. Now that's some defense. Far cry from when I was using Potter all the time earlier in the season.

Three stars were Abid, Garth Murray and Exelby. Now there's a who's who of hockey.

The role players are doing pretty well. Murray has a respectable 16 points and is a +1. Abid scored today and had an assist. He also popped in a GW PPG earlier this week against Buffalo. Heerema was basically given to me for free by Tampa because I needed a body, he has 15 points and is a +14.

Man things are just sliding out of control in Nashville. We have lost three straight now, and still our starting goalie is on the rack...not looking to promising for a stretch run at this point!

Spezza keeps rolling and A. Kost puts up his 3rd straight 2 point game since being called up from the AHL. The team has played well lately and hopefully this is a sign we have finally turned a corner.

Leafs and Nords tie 4-4.

It was nice to have a day off but the Leafs were right back at it tonight when they started a 3 games in 3 days stretch. Coming off a bad streak, followed by 2 wins against the Jets, then a close loss to the Thrashers, I wasn't really sure where the team was going. And I'm still not sure after tonight.

There were 7 goals scored in the first period, 4 of them by Leafs. Marleau had 2, Hejduk had one, and Avery had a shorthanded goal. That, combined with the fact that we held the Nords to 20 shots, probably should have resulted in 2 points for the good guys.

But that wasn't the case. John Grahame once again started in place of Lundqvist who has been laboring lately. Grahame only managed to stop 16 of 20 shots. So a little better performance in goal and we could have won this one.

Leafs play the Sharks tomorrow.

Boy oh Boy did we ever catch the Bruins Napping. Very Gritty effort by the team as well. Down 3-0 was not a suprise considering the injuries we have sustained and the Bruins being a good team. What a 3rd period though!! Fluery held the fort and the team made the bruins pay. What a Debut for Marc Staal. His first game gets 2 points and named the games first star!!!! If he keeps this up he could find himself on the big club full time this year.

THe Farm team did not fair so well but I found this to be a curious stat

Alexandre Picard 10 (John Zeiler, John Zeiler)

Way to go Zeiler and his Clone!!!

Later this afternoon, I am going to offer Goffie a contract to be co-GM of the Nords. He's managed to take a team on a nose dive, and turn them into a gritty team ready to scrap for every point needed to stay in the playoff race.

Nice work Goffie.

Doan and, what's this???, Slava Kozlov should return to the lineup shortly.
