And in other news, the Leafs still haven't won the Stanley Cup, voters don't trust their elected officials, and the sun is expected to rise in the east tomorrow morning.
/end sarcasm
I hate Bell too.

for as many flaws as i can list with Shaw, that is one area where the Shaw family themselves have always been good about, no hidden fees. the whole no contracts thing is nice too

I just filed a complaint with the CRTC against Bell ExpressVu due to they're billing practices and constant lying. They are taking me to collections over a balance I was told repeatedly was a mistake on they're part. Then they "lost" my PVR i sent back and billed me for it, but magically located it within 10 minutes of me phoning.
To steal comic book guys saying " Worst company ever!!"

How long after you returned the PVR did they send notice that they lost it? I sent mine 2 months ago and I expect the same lie from them. Wondering when the bill will arrive. I should have put a bomb in the thing.

Three months after it was mailed I got the bill for $650.00..... CRTC got back to me today saying that they sent a copy of my complaint to Bell and Bell has 10 days to respond.

Everyone will be happy to know that it is $6/month for new cusomters! And they are not the only ones to charge this.
System Access Fee/ Digital Service Fee/Additional receivers fee
Bell ExpressVu
$3 Rogers
$2.99 Videotron
$2.99 Cogeco
$1.99 Star Choice
$4.99 Shaw
$2.99
I am also curious when people are not going to be suprised when they are charged "hidden" fees. Its the way of life now, someone found a loop hole and you can't tell me if you were the Owner, CEO, ect of a company you would not do what it takes to maximize profit. You also have a choice...
edit: format on that spreed sheet didn't turn out to well...but its the best I can do for now.

Do you not have a tracking number for when you shipped it back? I would hope sending a $600 machaine through the mail you would write that down.

They sent the box, with all the packing/shipping info. My dad put it in the box called for a pick up and it was done, he has the receipt of the pick up still. Its the fact I was never contacted saying it didn't make it back, just a bill. Then I called and they miraculously located it within 10 mins.

Oh I've known bell was gouging me for a while. Ever since my bill went from $45 to $68 for no apparently reason and there's nothing I can really do about it. Cell phone services in Canada are terrible.

that Shaw fee is 1.99, not 2.99, and it's for each additional DCT that you have hooked up. there is no charge for the first one, but each one after that incurs the fee, so if you have 5 digital boxes you pay an extra $8 a month. it's listed pretty clearly on the bill though, and the CSR's are supposed to inform customers of that charge before they activate more than one DCT. it's been around since Shaw started going the digital route and they've lowered the fee from the 2.99 it used to be in the last couple years
