Unbeaten in 15! (12-0-3)

Thrashers beat the Sabres 4-2 late Friday Afternoon and outshoot them 36-24 to go unbeaten in 15 games (12-0-3). Chris Mason continued to play great since the injury to Roloson and made 22 of 24 stops. Rod Brind'Amour and Bryan Smolinski played good games and chipped in with 1 goal each and were named the games' 2nd and 3rd stars. Thrashers play the Wild tomorrow in the 2nd game of 5 games in 5 nights.

Panthers picked up a win against the Canucks in OT by a score of 4-3. Canucks had the lead 3-1 before the Panthers scored 2 goals in 22 seconds with less than 3 minutes remaining. Gaborik finished the game by scoring 1 second into OT for the win. Gaborik finished at 2-1-3 +2 and Richards had a goal and an assist and finished +1. Straka had 3 assists in 27 minutes of ice time. Holmqvist picked up his 7th win of the season. Panthers were 2 for 6 on the powerplay, while surrendering 1 goal on 7 penalty kills.

After languishing down on the third line for a couple of weeks Jason Blake(e) breaks out with a hige five point, +4 game. Mike Richards demoted down to the fourth line also had a huge game with three assists, managing to sneak out on the PP despite coach Nolan's protests!

Hasek was good after a weeks rest stopping 24 of 26 but the game wasn't in doubt when he faced many of those shots as the Flyers came of Flying scoring 4 goals in under a minute early on in the game.

Plenty of people not contributing despite the score line but they are forgiven....today.

The Mighty Phantoms fell 10-6 to the Avalanches crappy farm team but were so happy with the Flyers big win they didn't really care!

The Flyers no prepare to the west the Colombus Blue Jackets! hopefully the Flyers can take advantage of their lazy GM's mid-season vacation and lay a beating on another Western Conference foe.

Stupid Oilers! Turco was the only bright spot in this game as we were badly outshot. Good news is almost every other team im fighting with in the Howe lost as well.

Wings 1 Oilers 3

Henrik Zetterberg tallied three assists and a #1 star selection today versus the Red Wings to go with his hat trick and #1 star selection from yesterday. Daniel Alfredsson, who has been red hot with a league-leading 8 game point streak (coinciding with the Oilers' 8 game win streak), scored two goals and Craig Rivet added the other. Simon Gagne had another strong performance with 2 assists. Mike Comrie's powerplay goal in the final minutes of the game spoiled the shutout for Martin Brodeur, who only had to face 17 shots.

The Oilers last six goals have all been scored by the Gagne-Zetterberg-Alfredsson line, while shockingly the (revolving door)-Lecavalier-Iginla line has been silent.

Edmonton is now tied at 65 points with three other teams--Florida, Washington, and Boston--in the overall standings, and trails the Howe Conference-leading Hawks by only one point.

Despite having a tired blueline, the next three games give the Oilers a great chance to match the Hawks' earlier 11-game win streak as Edmonton will face Tampa Bay, Vancouver, and Anaheim. Then the schedule gets tougher...

Big win for the Pens as Big Joe explodes for a Hat trick and 9 Pens hit the double figures in points. This game means nothing unless we can string together a few wins. The next few games will be a huge Test as the Pens must pull it together and earn a few W's and claw into the playoffs.

Leafs beat 5-1 by Nords.

Wow the Leafs suck right now. That's 4 losses in a row and a 1-5-2 record in our last 8 games. During the 4 game losing streak we've scored a grand total of 5 goals. It was only a week or 2 ago most people felt we were solidly in the top half of the conference. After tonight's games we're only 2 points ahead of 9th place.

Not sure what the deal is. This is basically the same team that was good for half a season. We haven't had any injuries and are still doing most things just as well as before. The scoring has taken a major dip and that seems to be the only real difference.

this was a measuring stick game, and we measured up well short of the Thrashers unfortunately in a 4-2 loss. our 2nd line got killed tonight. Tobias Enstrom made his CPHL debut and played 12 steady minutes, will he get promoted to the 2nd unit?

Oops my fault. It wasn't simmed before midnight here, so it was today for me. The baby's been having sleeping issues so that means me too. I'm all mixed up. Forget what I said.

Canucks are unbeaten in 5 games - a season record! Hahaha, we lost in OT tonight, so nevermind.

Canucks get points in 5 games straight! That'll work.

Miro Satan with 2 goals in this one, 5 points in 2 games since being acquired - working out real nice so far.

Bryan Berard with 3 points and has been HUGE while our blueline has been injured. Playing big minutes and doing a nice job.

no consistency in the last few games.
injuries in the past have come to haunt us in the present. what will the future hold.

It's funny how things work out. Lukowich has been very steady on our blueline and is a +3 since being acquired. Michalek has 2 goals and 3 points and Lukowich with 2 points. Good to see trades working out for both parties.

It was an important win tonight against the BJ's, we just need to start stringing a few wins together now.
