Default Impatient driver at Stampede Parking Lot

It's been a long, long time since I drove to Calgary Flames game and parked at Stampede. First thing I noticed is, why the heck are these people in a rush and driving like maniac trying to get a parking spot. I was crossing with my friend and we are getting close to the sidewalk when this guy driving a Lexus I believed turned right so fast that he almost hit us. We have to jumped and that idiot did not even slow down. I was about to chase the guy and give him a piece of my mind but I thought I'll just get mad at this guy and we end up yelling at each other or worst end up fighting. That would ruin my night and won't be able to concentrate in the game. THe game doesn't start in 50 minutes so I don't see what's the rush.

After the game same thing. Some idiot driving that huge Ford truck keeps moving forward even though there was freaking 4-5 of us already in the middle of his truck. We managed to cross the street without getting hit and this guy just keeps on going forward and turning left even though there are other vehicles coming.

Where did these morons learn how to drive? How come suddenly people are so impatient?

Not to justify their actions but sometimes oblivious pedestrians will trap a vehicle in the middle of the road by walking off the curb at the worst time.. I also hate the steady streams of people you get after the game who refuse to wait even 2 seconds or cross in groups.. I always park on the hill to avoid the traffic nightmare..

That and the parking attendants have absolutely no idea what they are doing and piss off every driver that they direct. This makes people impatient.

I've made a point of ignoring them and their ineptitude, and just going to where I usually park.

Maybe we should have a driving complaints forum?

I never park down at the Stampede grounds. I won't risk my car just to save a couple minutes walking. The number of morons driving jacked up Ford 350's at 80km/h in that parking lot despite the number of people and cars has left a bad taste in my mouth. Basically, anyone who goes over 30 in a parking lot has major mental issues bordering on psychopathy.

Maybe the guy just wanted to have enough time to use the Saddledome ATM?

I usually just wait the extra 10 -20 minutes to let all the impatient people leave.

Go pee and then head for my car. I know it gonna take a while so I don't get uptight bout it.

That or head to the Casino for a half hour then home.....

I am usually able to get out fairly quickly after learning where to best park over the years. Also able to do this without killing pedestrians.

I find the south exit better than the north exit.

You can park 2-3 blocks away for free, and get home much faster than people in the Stampede lot. People are lazy.

Leaving that place is a nightmare. I don't park on the Stampede grounds but I do drive a "huge Ford truck". I was turning left out of a lot. Traffic is clear both ways for a brief second. Pedestrians jay walking north. I punch it to cross two lanes of traffic. The pedestrians decide to cut in front of me in the middle of the street. I brake, they hesitate so I punch it and turn left. One guy slaps my box on the way by. I can see him being mad. But you can't bolt out in front of a vehicle in the middle of the street. Especially a one tonne. That might hurt.
