Personally I like to sit beside the stage. It's definitely not behind the stage because they fold the sections of lower bowl seats in and set the stage up where those seats are. So you are basically sitting perpendicular to the stage and for some of the shows I have seen from that perspective it can be a really cool experience. You can see the performers better and I have never noticed a problem with the sound. Plus if the gig doesn't sell-out and you have the opportunity to sit in the front row there it is a great view.
