a doll modeled after a newborn is the most disturbing thing you've ever seen?
Been on the internet much?

"$20,000, do I hear $20,000!" "We got $20,000, do I hear $30,000!"
If this is for real, some people are sure messed up...Ritchie Brothers Auctions will fetch money in a matter of seconds

Some of them look like aliens and others look like corpses. New borns look weird, but not that weird.

This is no different than the Cabbage Patch phenomenom from the past. Only these dolls are more realistic looking than the Cabbage Patch dolls.
I don't see it as all that weird, I think these are for kids. If adults are buying them for themselves, then it is weird.

I am stretching very hard for a normal everyday use.
Possible uses in Hollywood productions? Right now the "new borns" they tend to use are a lot older (by necessity) than the chararcters they are emant to represent on screen. A realistic looking new born doll might eliminate that problem for some scenes perhaps?

That's nothing.
There's a really weird internet phenomenon where grieving parents of dead babies take pictures of the newborn's corpse, Photoshop angel wings and a halo on it, and then post the pics to a a website "shrine" to their dead baby.
Yes, it really is as creepy as it sounds.

Well, unless you have suffered the loss of an infant child, I don't think you can judge how other parents grieve. Me, no, I would never put angel wings or a halo on the picture. Would I want a picture? Definitely, this was a life I created and would wish to remember. That infant, dead or alive, was important in someone's life, even for a miniscule period of time.
There is no correct way to grieve, there is no wrong way to grieve, it is an individual process. I feel deeply for anyone who loses a child.

I'm not questioning grieving parents wanting a photograph to remember their dead baby. What I find crazy is that they photoshop wings and a halo on said photo and then post it to the web for the world to see.
Like I said, there's a pretty large internet community devoted to dead baby websites. I think it's creepy beyond belief.

whatever, I agree, I would not put wings and a halo on the picture either. Nor would I post it on the internet.
But some parents feel a terrible loss. They had such high hopes for this child, so many plans for this child, and now this child is gone so quickly.
Personally, I think for some parents, they have an overpowering need to say, this child was important to me and it existed and they have a need to give that child some public entity and existence because the child will never get any acknowledgements or accolades otherwise.

I will give you an example of another way to look at it.
We have very close friends who lost a son, not as an infant but as a teenager. When they talked about their loss with us, this was how they tried to explain it to us.
They said that since they lost their child, they feel like they now belong to this special club, and this special club has the cruelest membership and regisration requirements possible. To be a member of that club, you have to lose your child. It is a club nobody wants to join, yet sometimes you are forced to and unless you have become a member of that club, nobody else knows what that club is like.
I think the parents posting pictures of their dead children are saying, I am a member of this club, and here is what I had to give up to join the club.
No matter if we feel this is creepy or not, let's just let them grieve as they feel best.

I'm not calling for anyone to take their sites down or for pictures of dead babies to be removed from the internet. All I'm saying is that it's incredibly creepy. Don't read anything more into my comments than that.

I read this and had to go to dictionary.com to discover that you did, in fact, make up a word.

Lock it in your car on a hot day... Leave the carseat on the roof of your car and drive slowly through a busy parking lot... Tie a noose around it and hang it from your rearview... Put it on top of your trash on garbage night...
