Shinny Game
Hey guys.
For those that haven't been reading the outdoor hockey etiquette thread, a few of us have been talking about getting together to play some puck.
So anyone who is interested, go to the Silver Springs rink at 1 pm on Saturday.
If you need directions let me know.

If you guys do another one of these sometime after Christmas(but before the start of the college winter semester), I'm so there. May not have enough room in the car for the goalie gear, especially if my old lady comes down with me. But Ill definitely at least bring my skates and stick and come to meet alot of you, and shoot the puck around a little. Thatd be good times for sure!

personally I dont think the time is the issue. Its the rink and day, I just played at silver springs today and it was packed. if its like that on a wednesday, imagine a saturday. Its easily one of the most used rinks in calgary.

Silver usually gets really busy around 2PM on weekends so I would recommend going much earlier than that especially if the weather is good.
On weekdays anytime before 4 is gold and usually after 9 is great as well.
I'll play in the next version, can't make it for this one.

We could chip in few bucks and rent a rink, that way we get the rink to ourselves.

Well if anyone is interested I know a guy who does rent some icetimes.
There's one tonight at 8:00 in the NW if anyone is interested. Two ice times next week as well. PM me and I'll give you the details.
The guy who puts that together was telling me about an outdoor rink behind COP (near Old Banff Coach Road) that floods three times a day is never busy, most likely because the location. We could try there if it's a good location for everyone.

Is that rink new JayP? I lived right there, and still do. The closest rink to me has been Signal Hill or Springbank.
Do you know exactly where it is?

I don't know exactly where it is, but I'll find out in a few hours.
All the guy told me is that it's behind COP.

You might come across one jerk in your time, but I would doubt it.
There is typically a wide range of talent, and typically someone who can barely stand. If you're with the right group of guys they will try and keep you involved but not every play.

You'll be ridiculed without mercy and eventually taken behind an old shed, where you'll never inconvenience society again.
