Default Help ... What's That Tune?

Okay music geeks, I need help. I've had a line from a song stuck in my head all day and I can't figure out what the song is or who did it. The lyrics that are lodged in my head are "Gonna get too loose on Toulouse Street" ... I think there's something about kissing all the creole girls in the song too. I tried searching a few lyrics sites and the only thing that produced was the Doobie's album named Toulouse Street, which isn't what I'm looking for.

Help me before I go nuts ... what song am I thinking of? Is it something by Dr. John ... that's the best I've come up with.

Thanks.

"Down South in New Orleans" by Bobby Charles and The Band. It's on the album "The Last Waltz"

Many thanks. I knew I probably had it somewhere in my collection ... I also know someone at CP would know the answer.

I could use some help too, I should know this but I'm drawing a blank. It's a classic rock song that's sung by a woman and part of the chorus is something like this "...hitting the road, come on down, to the middle of the road(?) yeah-eah". Any thoughts? It's well known... maybe Joan Jett?
