Default Clemens/McNamee situation gets ugly(er)

http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=3371824

Saying "all is fair game," lawyers for Roger Clemens' former personal trainer Brian McNamee say they intend to capitalize on allegations of an extra-marital affair involving Clemens and a country music singer in defending a defamation suit Clemens filed against McNamee.

I don't normally relish somebody else's discomfort, but I can't stand the way Clemens has presented himself through all these allogations, and to an extent, I've enjoyed watching the egomaniac drop down to "cheater" status. Now he's going to add pedophile to his resume? What a lowblow.

"He flatly denies having had any kind of an inappropriate relationship with her," Hardin said, according to the Daily News. "He's considered her a close family friend ... He has never had a sexual relationship with her."

He could be right - all the steroids he took might have made sex an impossibility for Fraudger.

No question IMO - Fraudger is king of the d-bags. Look at what he named his kids:

Koby, Kory, Kacy and Kody

Clemens has always been a ######.

His demands for a bigger contract while with the Jays because other pitchers suddenly started making more money than he was about sealed the deal for me.

Roger's always been about himself, and nobody else.

Well said!

The Blue Jays saved Clemens career when no one else wanted him and when they were just 1 step away from the playoffs he bailed on the them.
Thanks Roger!

NEW YORK - Roger Clemens had a decade-long relationship with country star Mindy McCready that began when she was a 15-year-old aspiring singer and the pitcher was a Boston Red Sox ace, the Daily News reported.

Clemens was 28 and a married father of two when he first met McCready, the newspaper reported.
That's the creepiest part. I think, if any of this is true, that he's going to be wishing that the only thing he was known for was using steroids.

He's going to wake up one morning and say to himself, "Hey, remember back when everyone thought I was just a steroid user? Man, those were the good ol' days..."

I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt on this one until there is a confirmation from her or from him.

Just because you have a relationship with someone doesn't mean it is dirty. Any fan/star interaction is a relationship. People on this site have relationships with Flames for example, but that doesn't mean it is sexual or dirty or improper at all.

She was 15, about to make it to the big time, and knew Roger Clemens. I'm going to leave it at that until I hear otherwise.

He's a cheater, but that doesn't mean he's a pedo.

It is? What's McNamee done that compares to Clemens?

Clemens is a liar, a cheater (professionally and in his marriage) and he's probably a pedophile.

And the supplier of the banned drugs is a choirboy. He's also been accused of rape* (which he was never charged for, but hey, since Clemens is clearly guilty of being a pedophile, I figured I'd throw that in there) Insert sarcasm smilie above. They're both ######bags.

Tell me where I said McNamee is a choirboy.

McNamee's progression into drugs went something like this: Clemens and others want to get into steroids so they ask McNamee about them. McNamee gets steroids and injects players. Anyone rational clearly sees that Clemens is the bigger problem in that situation.

You should probably invest in a dictionary since probably (which was used in my post) and clearly do not have the same meaning.

Either way, it's hard to imagine Clemens didn't do anything with that country star. I'm sure he had an affair with a 15-year old because he loved her immature teenage personality so much.

Clearly you don't understand sarcasm. I didn't see probably in front of your comment of him cheating on his wife.

Then fairly confirmed. She said she cannot refute anything that was said in the article. So, oddly confirmed.

Roger Clemens hung out with several attractive women in his baseball career, including beauties in California and Boston and a former Manhattan bartender named Angela Moyer. Clemens flew the women around the country on his private jet and bought expensive jewelry for at least one of them, a source told the Daily News Tuesday. Moyer acknowledged she knew Clemens, but has declined to discuss the relationship.

Less than one year ago, Clemens was the toast of NY. June 6, 2007 he announced he was coming back to the Yankees. In 2006, he was called the greatest living pitcher.

Now look at him - disgraced and as the veneer is pulled back even more and more dark behaviour is coming the the surface. Taking steroids and cheating is now taking a back seat to rampant marital cheating and perhaps even "relations" with a minor.

Personally, I don't revel in the downfall of an icon; but hopefully this whole debacle is a message to other athletes that talent, fame and money does not give you carte blanche to do what you want, even if you do try to keep it quiet.
