Default Anywhere to watch Flames games in Victoria?

I'm heading out to YYJ tomorrow and I know there are a few folks on here from Victoria. Is there anywhere in town that will show a Flames game when they aren't playing the Canucks?

If its anything like over here, not too likely. Tomorrow's game is on TSN though so you might get lucky.

My parents have a condo in View Royal, but I can go pretty much anywhere I like.

Any islanders up for a CP meet and greet?

Canucks don't play tomorrow so you should be fine. Game is on TSN so I can't see too many places that won't have it on.

There is a sports bar inside a hotel on Douglas on the corner of Topaz. Its about 3 blocks south of Mayfair Mall.

Only place I have been to in Victoria where I have seen a Flames game on even with the Canucks playing. But if the Canucks aren't playing and you ask nicely they will put whatever game you want on the big TV, which is pretty sweet.

I'd be down, but I've already filled my "out for beers" quota this week and way too much x-mas family stuff to finish off. Maybe some other time.

the "Shark Club" (http://www.sharkclubs.com/victoria/locations/) is the sports bar referred to on Douglas a little ways up. Downtown, sporty atmosphere, fairly non-pretentious, good looking servers , big screens, all in all not a bad place to spend a few hours. They show Flames games to a pretty good Flames contingent on any given game night. Trouble comes when they're showing other out of town sportsnet feeds in conjunction with a pacific SN Canucks broadcast. Doesn't hurt to call down before you go and check with the bar manager to make sure he'll be able to show the game.

The other place I've heard that shows out of town hockey games is the Monkey Tree Pub on McKenzie and Quadra-ish. Closer to campus and the Northern communities.

Unfortunately I'm heading out to Calgary tonight otherwise I'd love to swill a few with a loyalist. Have a good time in cloudy Vic-tor-ee-ayy.

edit: nm, never heard of Prime Time. Sounds like a good bet too.
