Pens send offensive dman packing for futures...

The Pittsburgh Penguins have been trying hard to claw their way back into the playoff race and have been scoring lots of goals in the process. The only problem is they have been letting in more. A deal was made to ship off the the teams worst +/- rating. Only Andy Sutton has a worst +/- rating then MA Bergeron and he has been even since becoming a Pen.

Not fitting in on any of the lines he was placed and only performing on the PP we felt we could sacrifice Bergeron for a player with a bright future.

Coming in is brother of the Pens top offensive prospect Andrei Kostitsyn; Sergei. Sergei has made an immediate impact making the NHL in his first year post junior and has played top 6 minutes ever since. We feel that Kosty's future potential will make up for the loss of ratings.

MA Bergeron adds just that, he doesnt have much potential but should add some scoring on the back end. Kosty is a good prospect but we feel like we have multiple prospects paralleling his level of development. To be able to get a 74OV roster guy was something we had to jump on. It was a move that was meant because of our insane depth at the prospect level. We expect 1 of Sutter, Alzner or Montoya to also be moved though montoya will be the hardest to move.
