Don't go to OK tire, they fixed my flat with an even worse flat.
The only thing that I can think of is Canadian Tire.

Funny story.
I went there to get a slow leak repaired. The guy, and he was old, pulled the tire off, found the nail, patched it and put it back onto my car. I got to the door when the tire basically exploded.
He didn't know how to apply a patch properly and made things worse. Then he lost the counter weight.
Ever fired a worker in front of a customer? I think that happened that night.
Terrible experience in that a 10 minute job took an hour and a half because they didn't know what they're doing.

Crazy, what luck to drive over another nail, but the tire guy says there were no patches on the tire. Lazy dealership didn't even take the time to pull the nail out.

Did you go back and say anything to the dealership?

I have a habit of watching what a mechanic does. I try not to get in the way or be overbearing, but try to BS with the guy and ask questions. Anytime I ever had a nail in a tire, the guy always pulled the offending piece out, took the tire off the rim, inspected the interior for anything else that may be in there, informed me one way or the other. If there was cord damage on the inside, your looking at a new tire. Otherwise, he puts a plug in the nail hole and maybe a patch on the inside. If he knows what he's doing, he'll even mark the tire in relation to the way it came off the rim prior to inspection to ensure that the wheel weights are in the right place when he puts the tire back on.
A good job should take 20 minutes to half an hour.

I fixed tires back in high school for a couple years.. There is never any guarantee that the repair will work. I found a plenty of tires out there with more than 1 nail in them. The trick to the proper repair is to wet the entire thing with soapy water once you've fixed it and let it sit for a while. Rim leaks and belt separations might not be apparent unless you leave it for a while. One tire I tried to fix had 6 nails of various shapes and sizes in it, I had to tell him it was wrecked with that many holes everywhere. Weirdest thing I ever saw in a tire was a toothpick that punctured some cheap factory continentals. A friggin toothpick!?!

I haven't heard much good about dealerships as I had the chance to have a couple drinks with one of the mechanics at Crowfoot Dodge. The mechanics is stuck in the middle lots of times...the customer going off the deep end and the service manager wanting things done yesterday. Needless to say, he's not working their anymore. Seemed like an alright guy and knew his stuff, but being pulled from all sides is enough to drive anyone nuts.

Don't get me started on Crowfoot Dodge. They took my wife to the cleaners when she took her van in for servicing while I was out of town.
