With the Flames on ice, I have tuned to most of the Raptors games this year.
It appears to me he is doing just enough to p*ss off the ownership group and get his trade demand granted.
Basically refuses to drive to the net at all.
It's all outside shots and then he lumbers back to watch the other team score. I have yet to see him give anything but a half hearted attempt to block somebody out during a defensive rebounding situation.
Sent him to Portland with all the rest of the prima donnas.

Agreed. This guy's gotta go. Keeping him in the line up if his heart isn't in it will only hurt the Raps.
My only hope is that they can get someting decent for him. But even if they can't, they should make a deal.

The NBA is so lame. Its all about Image, (headbands, hair, tatoos) and about the money or love they didn't get. They don't even care about the game. I used to love the NBA when Bird, Magic, and then Jordan were around. It is nothing but a bunch of little kids acting tough these days.

Like Vince, if I could be like Vince
Vince Carter's bold decision to dump the dunk has inspired me to make a courageous career choice of my own.
I've decided that after today's column I'm no longer going to use adjectives.
I know, I know, historically adjectives have been a big part of my game, my repertoire, my reputation as the 'half-man, half-awesome' human highlight film of slam-dunkin' sports columnists. But no longer. Adjectives, I've decided, are overrated.

I don't mind him not driving to the net anymore, after all he did go through surgery on his knees. All I want him to do is get the open shot because he is more than capable of draining it. He is also not doing to bad on defence. I noticed he always hustles for the block or to help out a teammate. If you guys watch the game tonight watch him on defence, he isn't as bad as you think. Anyways, I'd rather sit Rose than Carter. Atleast Carter makes an effort in the backcourt. If he can score 20 points from open jumpers consistently, I would say he is worth it and maybe if we make the playoffs he will be inspired to step up his game.

If he isn't going to dunk and has alredy shown he is only going to take horrible shots how does he expect to score?
I know that Vince wants out of Toronto but if he keeps playing like this he is only going to make it harder for Babcock to trade him.

Classic catch 22 eh? If he plays bad, it's going to be impossible to trade him. If he plays well, why would the Raps want to trade him?
I would think the latter is the better route to go.
I agree that VC is a baby :baby:

I agree with you 100%. The NBA is a joke really. All about image, and a sh*tty image at that.
Trade Vince for 2 basketballs and a Nike towel. I think that's fair trade value. I'm sick to death of hearing all these crybaby athletes whine about money and anythign else they care to cry about. Your life is so tough hey guys? I know how bad it must be to only make $10 million dollars. How could you possibly feed your family? Latrell Sprewell go to hell you ass. I hope your family starves one day because of your stupidity. Vince Carter, you don't wanna dunk or charge the net? Then sit on the bench. Your a useless twit anyways. Little Vince can't get his way, so he'll just refuse to play hard. What is the matter with athletes in todays age? This is why I love the CFL and the NLL. Here you will find class act athletes who give it there all every damn game. They don't play for money since there making just as much as the average joe. There playing for the love of the game and winning a championship. They put out an amazing product that I enjoy watching. Personally I've grown tired of athletes and their antics in the big 4 sports. Time to come back to reality.

And another beauty windmill dunk last night. Looked pretty good the last couple games, much more relaxed. Half of me says dump him, half says to hang on, because he's still one of the more talented and creative players in the game.

They might as well keep him, considering that he isn't worth that much in the marketplace. If he keeps up with the 20 points a game it could definitely make a difference in a game.
Give him back his IPOD!!!!
