At approximately 12:50 p.m. Thursday afternoon, officers made the grisly discovery of a woman and a young child, believed to be approximately 8-years-old, in serious medical distress after neighbours made a call to 9-1-1. Both suspects were declared deceased at the scene.
A suspicious vehicle was seen fleeing the scene. Didsbury RCMP located the suspect vehicle at approximately 3:30 p.m. along the QEII highway. A man has been taken into RCMP custody and is being questioned by officers.
I have friends who live up very close to where this is. They are pretty rattled at the moment.
