I'm very surprised at the lack of contracts for the 1st rounders this year. We have, what, 2 of them signed to contracts?!

I really hope a rookie salary scale is introduced in the NFL.

I agree. It is almost a penalty to get a top 5 pick, especially if there isn't a "can't miss" prospect.

The Broncos signed Alphonso Smith yesterday, and he is the highest second rounder to sign at #37. The article said only 12 second rounders had signed!

16 out of the first 64 rookies? WOW.

What's the latest on the new CBA? Are we headed for an uncapped year in 2011?

This will probably be the best place to ask for advice. I'm looking to join fantasy football for the first time in a few years, and I was wondering if you guys had any suggestions for websites. I'm either looking to play for free or for a small amount of money. Thanks guys.

Crabtree and the Glenn Coffee (3rd round) are the only 49er picks unsigned and Coffee is expected to sign and report to camp on time.

On the other hand:

However, Parker (Eugene Parker, Crabtree's agent) believes Crabtree deserves a greater contract because he should have been chosen sooner, multiple NFL sources said.

Vick has been conditionally reinstated, with Goodell to rule on his full reinstatement by week 6:

Even if it was a full reinstatement I'm not sure he would have been ready before week 7.

I have been using Yahoo for years. I only play in my own league so I have no idea how the other sites are. Yahoo has free live scoring this season which I believe other sites are offering as well.

I use Yahoo as well. They did some very nice upgrades this year; I really like what they did for the waiver wire.

There is now an option to put all unsigned players back on waivers every Sunday before the first game. Other sites had this for years. This is a good thing because it gives everyone a fair chance at players; not just the guy planted on the couch watching when a starter goes down and the replacement suddenly becomes a fantasy star. I've seen a few pools where that situation tilted the balance of the league. Nothing wrong with that, but it does tend to punish the guys with families who want to do family things on Sunday afternoons.

Edit: and Glenn Coffee is signed - only Crabtree left.

Don't know which team will sign Michael Vick, but here's the teams that won't: Redskins, Raiders, Seahawks, 49ers.

What a joke... I really like Crabtree and I do believe Oakland make a mistake not to take him but come on, you were the SECOND WR taken... suck it up.

I doubt it. With the money they have tied up in Russell and with Garcia being a veteran safety net, the QB position is pretty full. Even as a quasi-RB/WR, the Raiders have bigger holes on their team.

As for Crabtree - I see this guy being a headcase his whole career and being way overrated. I'm not thrilled that Oakland took Bey, but I'm glad they passed on Crabtree.
