Anyone watch the intro to WWE Monday Night Raw last night? It was hilarious. They had a black wrestler who looked alot like Terrell Owens (Shelton Benjamen) in a locker room getting ready for his match. In walked a hot blonde (Trish Stratus) wearing a towel and something on her face for her broken nose.

She wanted Shelton to give her some "loving" but Vince McMahon walked in and was appalled! He kept going on about how Trish was wearing just a towel and how the moral fabric of America was disintegrating right before his eyes and how all the sexual titilation could result in frustrated wrestlers running into the stands and beating up fans

Then Shelton left and Vince and Trish started kissing. They both turned around and Vince said "You ready for some wrestling?"

I thought it was pretty funny. Anyone else catch it?

I thought it was genious. Lots of humor and poked fun at just the right things.

If only the rest of their "show" was as genious.

I used to be a pretty big fan too...some of the story lines were clever, then after they merged it was just the same contrived crap. (not judging those that still watch it).

But, I say bring back D-Generation X

Funny stuff.

Can't believe all the fall-out from such a harmless sketch.

Good to see that someone can recognize the sillinesss of the reaction and the harmlessness (is that a word?) of what happened.

Yeah I too was once the biggest fan, up until about the summer of 2001.

And yes the original DX with HBK and HHH was the best.

Remember that Raw when Slaughter called them out, and they had those face shields with whipers? Classic stuff.

"Do you realize your an african american!? Think of the racial undertones!"

I was lucky to catch that flipping through, because there is no way I'm watching that stuff otherwise.

I loved it

"everyone knows African American men are generically predisposed to like white Canadian females with broken noses!"

I laughed out loud at that, something I don't normally do when watching TV (I laugh, but not usually more than a chuckle outload)

Also this Monday is RKO's turn as commish

Hey! (hey)
Nothing you can say! (say)
Nothing's gonna take what you've done to me
Now it sounded shy
Gonna take what's mine
While you're burning inside my light!

I missed it but it sounds hilarious. The morality types are on about "the downfall of civilization" and now I understand where they are coming from. When professional wrestling serves up the best commentary on something, we really are in trouble.

Wrestling died when Owen Hart died. I have never watched wwf crap after that.

Stampede wrestling was still the best. I loved Makun singh the toilet bowl, and i still have a Karachi Vice tshirt. I love that yellow!
