Default Property Managers

Just doing some research and seeing if this is possibly a new career for me. Anyone out there a property manager? Anyone have their own property management company that might be able to tell me the good and the bad about the business? I've talked to some property mangers and they've told me that it's great and the money is really really good ( over $100000 a year) . They say they can't keep up with the demand.

Any thoughts out there?

Thanks.

The ones I've spoken with are really busy for sure. You have to have some sort of certification to manage properties that aren't your own, not sure about the details though.

EDIT: But you have to be good at all kinds of tenant issues, finding good tenants, etc.

You better be a good handy man.

There's lots of stuff to do my property managers for my properties in Regina are good. They do all the handy work, cut the grass if the tenant is lazy, etc. Fix plumbing electrical issues all at excellent rates. I can tell you if they had to call in plumbers, electricians and landscapers to do my work, I'd find someone else. It would be way to expensive.

Don't forget its not all glamourous you will be collecting rent from people on drugs etc. If you catch them on a bad day they won't be the nicest people and they may threaten you etc.

I also bet its not fun giving people letters of eviction. How do you tell someone get out the owner wants to sell or renovate than sell etc.
